I am a storyteller at heart. My passion for the craft is complemented by experience that spans from international long-form reporting to local, community-driven stories.
In my current role as Communications Officer for CNEWA and Assistant Editor of its award-winning magazine, ONE, I edit, copyedit, fact-check and research each story, as well as pitch, report and write articles of my own. I was recognized by the Catholic Media Association at its 2024 media awards with a third-place award for Writer of the Year. The judges commented on my “engaging storytelling” and “attention to high-level detail,” which “brings stories to life.”
I am also accredited as a representative of CNEWA at the United Nations Department of Global Communications.
I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York, in May 2022 and received a B.A. in English literature and communications with an Integral Honors Degree. I am honored to have been recognized with the Thomas R. Hogan Award in communications, as well as two Newhouse Awards in writing — one in the creative nonfiction category and the other in the critical essay category.
At Le Moyne, I served as the editor-in-chief of our student newspaper, The Dolphin, for two and a half years and as the news and features editor for my last semester. I was also able to dive deeper into my passion for journalism by interning with Syracuse.com as an arts and culture reporter during the spring of my junior year. Soon after this internship ended, I started a part-time role as an arts and news reporter at Spotlight News in Albany, New York, for the summer of 2021, and as a freelance reporter for the summer of 2022.
